This 1951 etching was produced by Dali in the same year as the masterpiece 'Christ of Saint John of the Cross' which is in the collection of the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow. Like the painting it depicts Jesus Christ on the cross from an extreme angle - although here the cross is not actually shown. Dali has signed below the etching with a large, flamboyant, signature.
